An self-proclaimed Athiest, Elmahdy was completely disillusioned and upset at the male-dominated religious factions in her home country of Egypt. Of course, we are here also to critique the picture itself. The first thing I have to say is that the contrast of black and white and red is quite striking. It makes me think of the movie, “Schindler’s List”. She actually has quite a cute face. It’s young, but she’s obviously upset about her cause. Her breasts are small (especially for her frame). Regular viewers of this blog know that this thing is the furthest thing from political. I did, however, feel the need to make a commentary on the recent events facing Egypt. Yesterday, President Mubarak stepped down giving in to the will of the Egyptian people. The people had had enough and they stripped the man and his government from any power. Now at this point I could go on and on about democracy and politics, but like I said, this isn't that kind of blog. I did want to mention how this pleases me in what is the purpose of what we do here.

Any time there is political freedom, there is also sexual freedom. As the Egyptian women get more liberty to express themselves with their words, they will also get the liberty to express themselves by taking off their clothes. Not all, but some. I am hoping that in the years to come a by-product of the revolution is that we will start to see many more Egyptian national women show up in this blog.
